The bg is all painted. I tried to follow the scan's painting style and it was lots of fun working with different brushes.

I tried to follow @Shinn's advice that was given on Arcanum Paradisus. And maybe it doesn't show, but it worked wonders. Thanks a bunch.

I know that some of you might not like the vectored lineart but I couldn't make it any better than that, so I hope you can forgive this.
